Life and trauma

Re: Life and trauma

@rav3n the storms were amazing though, i love storms.

I can't pick favourite things and get frustrated when I even try to think about it. But it's also fear of being judged about it and being seen as different or weird if i like something that others don't. Kind of hard to explain.

I paint with nail polish, I don't like cleaning paint brushes

I find eyeliner brushes really good for precision work

I can't help that cheap make up brushes are better than cheap paint brushes!

Re: Life and trauma

@rav3n for some reason I've just started having a full on panic attack and I'm really freaking out cos the thoughts and images that are coming with it are really scary. It's like really graphic scenarios are playing out in my head.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member are there any techniques/strategies that help with those panic attacks? i'm so sorry you're dealing with this. we're here for you.

Re: Life and trauma

@rav3n Nothing has worked. But these images and scenarios have never happened before. I'm so scared right now, I feel like I'm losing myself.

Re: Life and trauma

i can hear how terrifying this must be for you, you're not alone here. know that these images are not facts. no matter how scary or convincing they can be, they're just things our brain is displaying. would watching a movie/tv show help distract those images? @Former-Member

i am mindful that i'll be heading off soon so i do want to remind you not to hesitate to reach out for support from crisis lines or 000. you matter, and i want you to feel supported. and the community is here to support you too. sending you hugs 💗

Re: Life and trauma

@rav3n it feels so real, like I'm actually there. I'm trying to focus on watching Buffy and Angel but the more I try the stronger these images/visions are getting.

I'm close to calling 000 cos it's not something I've experienced before and it's not stopping.

Thanks for keeping me company and chatting and for the hugs. I hope you enjoy the rest of your night. ❤️

@rav3n

The speed of a print can range from minutes to days.  It all depends on the print.  Some printers are faster than others but its mainly the size, complexity, and if it is a single colour print or not.

Ive always been into tech but a couple of years ago when I was diagnosed with a serious health issue and work was no longer an option i bought the printer to just try something to take my mind off things and as a bit of a treat.  I thought i would use it for a week or 2, but a year later im still very much into using it.  It helps a lot to give me things to do to keep me distracted with so much time on my hands now.
