Re: Life can be a Pain
The situation for you and others in Victoria is so hard @Owlunar We are so lucky here to not only live on an island but also the way it has all been dealt with by botht he government and community. For me personally nothing really has changed over this period but I really feel for you and others needing to isolate again.
You will be eating carrots and potatoes for weeks 🤣 I usually have a lot of carrots in the fridge but even for me 2kgs would be pushing it all at once.

Hi @BlueBay @outlander @Shaz51 @Zoe7
I've had my procedure and I am just resting before I go hpme and then spend the night at my daughter's place - it went well
7 ,days total isolation was not easy but I survived it - I am pain free arm which feels pretty good
I have been reading your posts @BlueBay - you are having a challenging time lately but this time to shall pass - just remember worry changes nothing and keep breathing

Re: Life can be a Pain
So good to hear it went well @Owlunar and you are pain free - what a wonderful result for you 👍😊 Take it easy when you are out of hospital and let your daughter look after you for a little while - you certainly deserve some TLC (even though you are so independent) we all need that occasionally

Re: Life can be a Pain
Hi @Shaz51 @BlueBay @Zoe7 @outlander
I know things have been really tough for everyone and I feel as if I jumped ship at the worst moment but still I still maintain that we have to be our own best friend and put ourselves first at times and so I did
I have had a rotten time really and didn't feel inclined to share it much - for a short while I thought my procedure would not go ahead because most elective surgery was to be cancelled because of the increase in the cases of coronavirus in Victoria
I do have the luck of the Irish though - I am among the last people to have elective surgery at that hospital and my specialist is ceasing consulting in person for the time being
Wow - and some people don't want to wear masks - what a fuss about nothing
It hasn't been easy reviving today - I had a pleasant time at my daughter's place but she is in a lot of pain with back problems herself - I was glad to get home
I haven't been around much lately but I have appreciated your messages

Re: Life can be a Pain
You are 100% right @Owlunar You come first and it is important that we do that for ourselves. I have had a really restful day - slept, watched tv, did a little sewing tonight and now back on the couch with my little fluffball. It has been so nice to have a day to myself with no expectations, so work and nowhere I need to be. I feel so much better for it and am grateful my colleagie teacher took some of the work off my hands so I can now concentrate just on the Art curriculum and planning this weekend. I need to scan some cards I was lent so I can get those back to another teacher so will do a little work tonight and then do the scanning tomorrow. I do need to go out in the morning to get a couple of things from Bunnings but then the rest of the day I can work away at my own pace.
I am really glad you were able to have the surgery and also that you are now home. It is no good your daughter is in so much pain but you also need to be where you are comfortable and relaxed as well in order to heal yourself.
Take care Dec, just do what you can and visit here when you are able - it is always nice to get a message from you
