If @Oaktree and @PeppyPatti are the resident artists, can I be the resident poet?

I wrote this a few weeks ago

As time it settles upon this day

And this day it simply melts away

This day that once was new is gone

Time for another to carry on

A time to live, a time to laugh

A time to travel this new path

A time to share, a time to learn

A time to give another turn

A time to read, a time to write

A time that carries you into the night

A time to sing, a time to dance

A time to give love another chance

As time settles on each new day

As the moments slip away

As the memories begin to form

As this day slips out the door

I ask if time will wait for me

Give me the chance to set it free

To wait a single moment more

To let time open the door

That time won’t be just a measure you see

That time won’t be a second or three

Time will have it’s own definition

One that prevents times extinction

So time we wait a moment more

That you may be that open door

Time you’ll see what you are for

That you will find your beautiful home
