Running

Re: Running

5 senses

@AuntGlow

Re: Running

@avant-garde Perfect, I like this one a lot - it helps me to get a better sense of a person's world.

What are 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. 💕

Re: Running

  • 5 things I can see
  1. The blue snuggle cushion against my wall to not injure me when I thrash in my sleep
  2. Ariel's face against mine on my little mermaid pillow
  3. The sticky residue from the blood test tape yesterday to check my iron levels
  4. My evee plushie from the claw machine
  5. The blue stars on my sheets
  • 4 things I can feel
  1. My teddy bear John tightly in my arms
  2. The matted area on my snuggle cushion
  3. The cold air blowing in my warm nose
  4. My soft mother's day blanket from a few years ago
  • 3 things I can hear
  1. The tv on in the background, some stupid ad about meal delivery
  2. The very evident trying to regulate my breathing
  3. The guy upstairs with very heavy feet trampling around
  • 2 things I can smell
  1. John smells old, musty and familiar
  2. The essential oils next to my bed
  • 1 thing I can taste
  1. Tangfastics lollies from earlier and gravy from dinner

Re: Running

@avant-garde Thank you so much for this, I enjoyed how detailed your observations were too. I invite you to connect with the one thing from this list that feels the most soothing for you - and try to connect with all of your senses like you have just done. Maybe you could explore breathing into this space and see if that connection helps to ground you further. It's okay if this doesn't work straight away, we are just aiming for 1% more, okay?

I will be finishing now, but I will be back on Sunday. In the meantime, there will always be someone here for you to talk to. I hope you feel lighter, safer, and more soothed soon. 💛

how'd you get up to today? got much on this weekend?

Re: Running

@rav3n

Usual washing routine tomorrow and church on Sunday

Today I went and met with my case manager and did a cooking thing with the activities crew and we did fish and chips in the air fryer. We also devised that I may not be able to use it in my room but I could probably use it in the communal laundry where I live.

I've been battling a headache a bit today and after yesterday it was a fair bit hard.

Re: Running

Hey @RiverSeal, can I ask you something?
