Just got home... drivers are bleh...
I did like Grey's anatomy but I prefer less soap and more medicine.
I like the real life stuff more.
Task masters has too many crude jokes and sexual references.
I liked legends of Korra more than avatar but do enjoy them typically

@avant-garde what'd you get up to today? drivers... like taxi drivers?
ohh yep makes sense, grey's is soapy indeed. i always feel so cool when i understand a lil medical reference thanks to grey's haha, i'm guessing you've learnt a heap more specialist terms from watching crime/medical/historical, etc. not sure if you mentioned whether you are/have studied a course before - have you?
that's a fair point. ooo yes i loveeed legend of korra too!! i hear they're making another one that'll release in a couple years.

@rav3n no the idiots sitting behind the steering wheel doing their make up and trying to merge at the same time that I usually see in my rearview mirror.
2 university degrees and 5 trade certificates
qualified teachers assistant, librarian, secretary...
Another legend of Korra sounds cool

eeek nooo @avant-garde that's definitely not on. hope there were no damages!! even those near misses are stressful.
woahh amazing!! i've always wondered what studying to be a librarian involved! i did some volunteering at the library back in high school, used to be my safe place. you seem like you have a passion for learning, love that. do you think you'll do more study in the future?
i think the next movie is going to be about the avatar after Korra (so not much Korra screentime unfortunately) but hopefully they do it justice!

@rav3n let's just say I was thankful to get home!
More study won't help me get a job, making community connections will
I was wondering who would come after Korra

@avant-garde hope you rest up well!!
so true, i definitely underestimate the importance of good connections/networks. what sorta job are you interesting in moving into?
sameeee!! just googled it and apparently this is the premise: a young earthbender discovers she is the next Avatar, and she and her long-lost twin sibling must uncover their mysterious origins and save the world before civilization's last strongholds collapse

My dream is to work in the library accessibility sector. Everyone has a right to learn and engage, more so in libraries, where the homeless feel safe, the LGBTQ feel understood and the neurodiverse, verbal and nonverbal alike feel heard.
Whatever the origin and whatever the age we all deserve this with no prejudice and every opportunity.
I was in a library recently and one of the staff was very prejudiced towards a homeless man who was charging his phone next to the printer. I ended up saying something to another staff member, that I love that the library feels safe for the homeless.
