Hi @tyme @Jynx @Captain24
Things are going ok here. I brought an e reader the other day. Downloaded looks of books. Going to try and start of reading 30mins a day. See how I go.
Ordered some new glasses today. Crap they are expensive, even with private health cover.
No wonder people just go without

I use to get treated like that when I came home when I lived away @tyme.
I guess she just loves having you all there. Oh it sounds interesting with your sister. I guess you aren’t as close as your other one. She has 2 kids right? A boy and a girl? Do they all get along?
I needed some eggs on Monday so mum and dad got them and dropped them in while i was sleeping. Mum also bought me some plums this morning and dropped them out. So I guess I get looked after sometimes.
Do you not want to see some of your family? Or are we just an excuse

Hey @Snowie
You are sounding a little better. I hope that’s right.
Im not sure I like an e-reader. I like the feel of a book. I’m glad you are taking time to read. It’s actually part of my safety plan to go into the front room and read.
I need to get my eyes checked but I think I need 3 pairs. A pair for distance, a pair for reading and a safety pair for work!

@Captain24 aww hun, I really hear you. I can imagine with your body in struggle-mode fighting off this sickness, everything is that much harder - including holding onto hope.
What are you doing with yourself this evening darlin?

I'm very much a book person too @Captain24 and like the feel of it in my hands. I used to read a lot before my MI so will see how I go
The one I got isn't really small so it's like holding a paperback.
It's in my safety plan too.
My normal glasses are multi focal so can use the same pair for driving and reading. I needed to get my sunnies multi focal too.
Thats a lot of pairs!

Fair enough @Captain24 . I get that.
Maybe while we chat here, you can be waiting on a call with another line. Have you ever called the SANE support line? 1800 187 263
Feel free to give it a go.
I'm around if it helps.

@Jynx and that with using my own frames. I wasn't going to pay for a new set when they were still ok. They just have to put the new lenses in. Whenever you say the word 'multifocal' it's like the price triples!!

Y'know @Captain24 I've been having a modicum of success lately by utilising my voice memo app as my journal? I always got so frustrated trying to keep up with any kind of journalling practise because my brain always runs soooo much fater than I can type or write. So instead I just record myself venting/rambling/raging - no need to listen to them again necessarily, esp cos I hate listening to my own recorded voice, but like... it gets it out of me.
Legitimately, expressing ourselves helps us get the thoughts out of brain and into world. Maybe you could give it a try for those thoughts you can't share here?
Hugs for you! 🫂🫂🫂
