I pay so much each month @Captain24 . It's one of those things that while you pay for, you don't really use but as soon as you cancel, then you need it! So I'm always scared of cancelling even though I pay so much.
I reckon I'm going to get grumpy at the kids after the first few weeks. Everyone will be outta whack and bouncing off walls.
That's okay, I know you'll be here for me when I freak out!
Hopefully we can spend more time in the pool to wear them out. I was going to use up some of my leave, but to keep my sanity, I'm just going to cut some hours while the kids are home in the holidays. Then when the kids go back to school, then I'll take more time off to use up my leave.
yesterday
I know. I pay heaps too but I did get to hospital stays a $20000 each so I shouldn’t really complain @tyme
Id never cancel cause that is, like you said, when I’ll need it. Plus knowing I have the ability to go to hospital is there.
I’m sure too much time and no routine will cause a little tension.
I will only be a post away!!!
This sounds incredibly selfish and needy, but I’m scared of the time off! You have been my rock.
yesterday
I totally hear you about being away @Captain24 !
If I had a choice, I wouldn't take it off because it's also part of my own mental health journey. But I'm mindful SANE has policies that they have to adhere to.
In a way, I feel that the time will fly in the twinkling of an eye.
Perhaps planning something each day can help. Or even a 'project' during that time?
I think I told you, in the past, I spent all my Christmas' in hospital. This continued until I was able to plan things as a way to keep well. I wonder if this is something you can do too?
yesterday
I get it @tyme. All that annual is a liability. I know it is in big corporations so a NFP it is a lot worse.
I should have given you my work
roster! 😜
It will go quick, it was January only last week!
I really should plan project time. I do have a Lego on the go but I just sitting here watching Netflix. I need to clean it up before Wednesday and I can get it back out on Thursday.
Im really hoping that I have work in between, it will help keep me occupied.
Im glad you have been able to work through it all.
I wonder if one day I will have myself to the level of being able to stay inside my window of tolerance.
yesterday
I reckon things will shift eventually @Captain24 . I feel this is just a rough patch, but it doesn't mean it will stay this way.
Another member was talking about watching The Good Doctor. I didn't realise season 7 was out so I watched that. It got boring at the end and I just fast forwarded it. (Speed watched it).
Maybe you can watch it 🙂
So this is my plan:
Wed 25th - church pretty much all day
Thurs 26th - church pretty much all day
Fri 27th - church pretty much all day
Sat 28th - chill in the morning, church at night
Sun 29th - church in the morning, chill after church
Mon 30th - hang out with the kids? Pool?
Tues 31st - hang out with the kids? Go for a drive to the beach? Meet up with people?
Wed 1st - rest?
That's all I know at the moment.
yesterday
I got bored with it after a few seasons @tyme. I use to be good.
Im watching ‘one place’ it’s got Nicole de silver in it so I had to watch it.
It’s sounds like you are well planned.
What happens to be at church all day? I’m just asking as I’m catholic so it’s just in and out.
yesterday
I might not stay the whole day, but usually, we have a session in the morning 10:30-11:30, then we have lunch together and free time. Then a session at 2pm where people share stories and ask questions, then we have afternoon tea together, then we go and have a gathering at someone's house (they invite the whole church to their house), and we have dinner there.
So we pretty much just chill and talk all day.
But I'm not very social, so I might just go home when I've had enough then go back later.
There are a lot of children, so for some sessions, I take a session with the kids only (sort of like sunday school but not on a sunday).
That's pretty much it.
As for watching things, I just get bored of watching things. I haven't heard of 'one place'.
Have you seen the framed painting like TV? It's so awesome! I'm not getting one, but it's pretty cool.
Oh, and I saw the convection oven pic. I bought one for someone once, but I've never used it myself. Sounds pretty easy to roast a chicken though.
yesterday
I couldn’t do all that socialising @tyme. You do will to be part of it. I do like the community side of it though. We don’t have a community as such.
A ‘Sunday’ school sounds nice. We never had anything like that. They do now though I think. All kids just had to sit there through the strict hour.
It’s actually ‘one night’ the book come on screen and I realised I stuffed up. It’s alright. There’s only 6 episodes and I know the place that it was produced.
Those tv’s have been out for 3 and a half years! I own 2 of them. They are really cool. You can put your own picture on it. They have probably improved them by now. They had only just come out when I got them.
It’s so easy! It tells you what temp and how long! The skin goes really crispy
They have become more popular of late but I’ve had this one for years.
My plans
24th cooking and prep for the next day and clean the house
25th church, cook lunch, visits to cemetery and nans husband, prepare for dinner
26th clean up and chill
27th-29th nightshifts
After that I don’t know
When do you go on holidays?
yesterday
Nice. So at least you have some things planned.
So you'll go to church with your family? Also, isn't your family going to hand around at your place on boxing day? @Captain24
Oh, and you have nightshifts 27th-29th! That's helpful I guess. Breaks the time up a bit.
My 'holidays' start 13th Jan to the end of Jan. Don't laugh, but I'm working a bit extra during this time lol. At least I'll have more of an excuse not to be talked at by my parents! Then in Feb, I might start cutting some hours.
Actually, on the 13th Jan, I might take the whole day off. But that's it. I'll be working otherwise.
Joys of family. I'll keep you updated.
Are you doing anything for New Years Eve or New Years day? Remember last New Year's Eve? I had COVID lol. It was sort of nice because I could stay home. But I did miss the atmosphere for new years though. Let's see how I go this year! Never know what will happen!
yesterday
Yeah. I’ll go to church with mum and dad. @tyme.
Before my pop died in 2003 he use to come to church with us. We still sit in the same pew and I still leave his spot empty!
Yeah.. they will come around but I’m trying to convince myself that they won’t. But I’m hoping since they are cooking some of the cold meat that they will keep some for themselves
a d I can just drop stuff in on the 27th when I drop the dogs off!
Sorry.. I did laugh. You are suppose to be with your family but to get a break from them you work. It’s like it’s your self care time.. working.
You were on here last year. I remember there was a big thing in town that you wanted to go to but COVID stopped you. Hopefully you get to do it this year.
My bestie said we were going out but that’s before she got here. I don’t want to go out. I don’t like being around people. I’m having trouble right now holding a conversation. I saw my auntie for the first time since she finished cancer treatment and was barely able to talk to her and I like her. Plus I don’t drink anymore and hate being around drunk people. My bestie is a bitch drunk and violent. She will hit me.
