Good Evening to those in the Corner!
@CheerBear @Bella1978 @Shaz51 @outlander @OhanaSystem
That's beautiful OhanaSystem, really beautiful. and yes, it's an excellent suggestion. One of the pdocs I saw used to have one, so soothing.
Well, the gp gave me more meds and other things as the abdominal infection isn't responding well enough, so tomorrow should see me better than today. Thank you all for your kind wishes.
I was, as usual, working on a project, this time one of my comfort hankies waiting at the gp. Doc noticed it and commented, which was nice. Pics of the things I've created need to be taken to share with you, probably tomorrow I'll have more of the everythings required to make that happen.
I spent the last couple of hours wandering the UK Book Depository site for something to cheer me up and found so many lovely books (that I just enjoyed looking at - but there's a big sale on which is why I went there. so much inspiration
I thought of you @CheerBear and @Phoenix_Rising when I saw these
and these made me feel like making them myself:
While I wondered if anyone here knows of these and if they've made them. I wondered how they would go being made smaller. It's a combo of amigurumi and Amish design. Really interesting I thought. What do you think when you have the time and inclination @CheerBear? I hope all is working out for you.
@Catcakes missing you, wondering how the blanket, and you, are going.
Pleased to have caught up some here, I hope all is going well with everyone.

Feeling so yuk that not much helps I've been distracting myself with a bit of 'I wonder if I could ...'
Emptied one of my med bottles and I just detest throwing them out, they have to be good for something, right?! So, I'm flipping one about trying to figure out what I might do with it and flat mate says to put my threads in it. Sure, but I can't see through it, won't remember they there. But, I have a thought ... what if .. yes, it might work ...
Took the lid off, took the locking ring off, carefully made an incision in the screwtop to fit the locking ring for hanging. Then another incision to make a hole for the thread to come out of, and screwed the cap back on. Now I have a working storage for carrying my current hankie project - hankie, hook and thread ball all fit into a secure clean case that can hang too! I will label the outside when I get around to it.

Hello there @CheerBear great to see you again, and to know your craft ban is lifted.
Maybe Monday will bring those lovelies to your door! Let's hope so!
Yeah, about the not knowing quite what to do thing when waiting for pretties to arrive. Happens to me too. I'm sure you will find something to do, maybe these?or these?
I'm still in recovery and feeling unmotivated, so pushing myself to do anything. The hankies are keeping me going, but I can't do even that for more than 15 mins or so before having to rest my arms. The meds are really taking their toll on me.
I managed to make damper yesterday as we were running out of bread and no one felt like going out. Today I made the getting ripe bananas into cakes, they're in the oven now. So, some level of crafting has been done.
I"ll see if I can find the image to put back for a while for you.

@Bunniekins Hi there! Sewing machine acquisition update.
It's coming up Mother's Day, which is a really great time to check out the specials for the stores in your close areas. I know there are currenly Janome, Bernina and I think Husqvarna specials running for Mother's Day now. Probably others too.
If you find a particular machine you'd like to check out, feel welcome to list the brand and model number for me to check for you for suitability if you'd like.
Wondering how your knitting is going, hope things are okayish for you, hon. Enjoying your changing avatars too.

@Former-Member Hi SunShower How are you going? We haven't spoken for awhile. Am just reading the news on the internet and the whole world is going mad. Anyways ... thanks for the heads up on the sewing machines to be honest I havent given it much thought as I havent been in the headspace to do much at all. Have to sort myself out first before I take on major projects.
Knitting is going well though. My mum wants me to knit her a scarf have the wool from one of the sites you suggested, thanks again for that.
The lovely @Zoe7 keeps the pea looking her best which I am grateful for. I like your avatar too it is very serene and yet not.
