Re: Best Friends Club

@avant-garde well done, so proud of you ♥️

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud I didn’t know they had an appointment system until not that long ago. I’m doing okay with the mutual requirements, I’ve been meaning to get some adjustments. I don’t know if Centrelink is calling me on Friday to discuss that. I can’t think of any other reason why they would want to get in touch. I’m hoping there is much longer till I’m in the workforce.

I hope the meeting with disability and accessibility support with uni goes smoothly and they are able to make the adjustments you need.

@Former-Member I find it stressful too looking for replacement. I have sensitive skin and I’m picky too with items and food that I like. I used to get calming tea from David Jones but they discontinued it, and I haven’t found a replacement. I sort of gave up looking for one eventually. I mostly just drink matcha. I can’t function without caffeine 😂

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer why can't they just make things especially for us, who cares if noone else buys it 😂. They used to make a yummy coffee satchet that i loved and since they stopped making it I stopped drinking hot coffee, same goes for my biscuits that I used to dip in. My hair needs mousse cos it's frizzy/curly, so I have to somehow find another one. Problem is there's only 2 other brands that have 1 each but i don't like either of them.

Re: Best Friends Club

@avant-garde you’ve done well 💖

@Former-Member if only they could keep making the stuff we love. I totally get you with hair. I put so much into to make it less frizzy and dry. It’s tedious and expensive, but it’s better than having straw hair. Even with all the effort my hair is still stubbornly dry to a certain extent. I also limit to twice a week washing

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer i have a love/hate relationship with my hair. Yes I love how thick my hair is but sometimes it's just so hard to manage. I can't do anything with it other than to just chuck it in a ponytail, i won't leave it down unless I straighten it which I don't do very often.

Re: Best Friends Club

@Former-Member I’m sure your hair is beautiful the way it is. My hair used to be thick, until my health went shit. Mental health can take a heavy toil on the body. I have too many psych diagnoses 😔. It probably doesn’t help with chronic pain either

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer awww thanks. I'm sure your hair is still beautiful just like you are ♥️. I too have many psych diagnosis, I understand how much of a toll it can take on our bodies. Sending you lots of love ❤️

Re: Best Friends Club

@Former-Member aww, you’re so sweet 💖. I’m currently trying to make my hair grow back and I am trying to recover. I think I needed a break after graduating because I was burnt out. I am looking at easing myself into working now. Slow and steady is better than rushing into and burning out. Those of us with mental health struggles need to tread certain careers like social work more carefully

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer @Former-Member guys i dont know why i always find myself being physically and mentally exhausted even whilst doing some uni stuff like i'm literally trying to work on the tasks from my current course right now and i dont know why its always gotten to this point 😞

i hope i dont experience the same thing when i get to study fine arts and design this semester
