@Former-Member so much of what you said about kindness, and music resonate with me. I also feel like my politeness and naivity cost me too much. I think compassion is the only way to live a good life, but the world is so bruising.
I went years unable to listen to music at all. Some I will never be able to stand. But from what you said, we must be a similar age... Cat Stevens, Queen, Tracey Chapman... There's a Cat Empire song: Music is the language of us all. I wish I could enjoy it more.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and you too @Bunniekins

@Former-Member I love your post about acts of kindness.
Sorry to hear about your mother's terrible behaviour going on for so long. I hope you get some occasional sleep-ins these days.
On YouTube there is a lot of relaxation music with no lyrics - maybe some of that could soothe you at times.

I only have time for a quick foray into the forum today. Appointments and stuff take so much time.
Many thanks for all the lovely wishes and kindnesses - I shall come back to talk more soon.
May you all have a lovely day.
@frog @eth @Faith-and-Hope @Bunniekins @Wanderer and others who may wander by with kindness in mind.

Back home - things done - stuff sorted - nothing any further advanced with tests though. Can't believe the sleep test software is down and no one seems able to fix it. Ludicrous.
And still, even with all of that, I am still being forced to have a test that can't be done due to software failure before being allowed to consider medication for the depression. ARggh.
On the good news front, my kindness barrier worked to keep me on task and emotionally balanced today too.

I hope the day for each of you has been pleasant enough.
Tomorrow is another day in which I can work on being a better person, doing something productive and finding a moment of peace and maybe even a laugh.

Frustrating @Former-Member someone should have told them to switch it of and on again.
Had a pretty good day considering where I was last night. Thanks.
Hope yours runs better next time.

Oh @Wanderer I almost laughed aloud at that! Thing is it might be as simple as that in the end!
Apparently the VPN won't allow communication back to the data collection point - and all the tech departments are passing the buck.
Probably someone at the data collection point hasn't reset their their firewall to the new VPN protocols. All of the out-stations are working properly, but data central won't accept the data. Without that, the tests can't be set up for anyone.
It has now been over a week. sigh.
