Hopelessness and the Terminal Mental Health Patient.

Patient Failure

How do you deal with being kicked out of the private sector when in crisis? Being blamed for your “failure” as a patient? Being treated like vermin in the ED? How do you continue to pick yourself up and dust yourself off when you have a terminal mental health disorder. Private hospitals and private shrinks are only interested in the “ perfect Pollyanna patient.”and won’t take you as a patients. You are offered nothing but an overwhelming sense of utter failure. To exist at this point in time without our purpose, without a map, without the skills to read it  and help get yourself not to be lost. The spirit is broken and lost and it has reached a point where this little jumpy dumpty can’t be put back together All the kings horses and all the kings men have a prior engagement attending a new big pharma junket and not available right now.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences in the mental health system @Fawkes

Stories like this highlight the real gaps and problems within the system, thank you for feeling able to share this. I don't have answers, I wish that I did, but I can sit with you and listen and assure you that you're not alone
