Re: Running

Okay, what are you sensing that you might need in this moment? @avant-garde 💛

Re: Running

hey @avant-garde are you able to get to a safe spot right now? maybe somewhere comfy/cosy?

we're here for you. i hope you can take some deep breaths in and out. would it help to give a grounding exercise a go? maybe A-Z, naming books you've read/shows you've watched?

i'm so sorry to hear how triggering that topic is. i'm really proud of you for communicating your boundaries and hopping into a different thread. if you need a break from the forums, please feel free to do so - we're here for you whenever you're ready. 💙

@rav3n

Counting back from 200 in 3's is the latest challenge, 100 is too easy now

But I have therapy in 15 minutes

Re: Running

counting backwards is a good one! @avant-garde glad you'll be able to chat to your therapist soon, hope it goes okay 💙

Re: Running

@rav3n

I have to be assertive with her today and that makes me uncomfortable

Re: Running

My therapist and I were talking yesterday about something that is still sitting really heavy with me...

Content/trigger warning
We spoke about being a child and how my body responded to being assaulted, how it was normal, but how sick it made me feel

Re: Running

That sounds as though it was a very heavy session @avant-garde it's understandable that it's still sitting with you. It's very brave to have this discussion both in therapy, and to share this here. I really appreciate the strength it must take 💜

Re: Running

@Ru-bee

I know it was completely normal but the shame that still exists as a result is very overwhelming.

It doesn't help that I won't have another session with her until the 15/1...

But it was normal...

Re: Running

I know @avant-garde it is normal but it is still a normal, natural reaction to very abnormal and not-okay experience. Do you have any other supports to reach out to until your next session? (aside of here of course)

@Ru-bee

Blue knot is really good with me, my case manager is around too and my peer support group has 2 weeks left still
