Good on you @avant-garde . You sound incredibly resilient. Are you studying at the moment ?

Gosh no, apparently I'm overqualified enough.
I organise a quiz night every year, this will be the third, it's on Saturday

Nice @avant-garde ...
Nah, I don't think you can ever be overqualified to not have anymore to learn and study..
I've got so many degrees, but I'm still going.. haven't had enough yet.

@Jynx you're going away for a week! And you didn't say anything! I had to find out in another thread! You were going to say something weren't you?
Nah it's all good, we can still spam you with birthday notifications for when you get back. Please leave us with a healthy dose of memes before you go and know that we're thinking fondly of you as you enjoy your birthday adventures.
But you better come back
I'm curious as to who will be wearing your shoes while you're away
I will officially miss you

She was the most beautiful woman you would ever meet, as stubborn as a mule but her actions spoke louder than her words
The things she taught me will stay with me the rest of my life, that I'm worth fighting for, to love without limits, that reputations can be wrong.
I was considered the black sheep and she had given me the time, love and compassion to see me, that I am just like her and got labelled by other family just like she did.
We weren't just grandma and granddaughter, we were sisters, friends...
She was my world and taught me what it means to feel loved

What a beautiful and special relationship @avant-garde
It sounds like she was a remarkable woman with a lot of love and warmth to share and that the impact of this lives on in you and those whose lives she touched.
