@Jynx I was thinking luminescent rocks due to minerals that react to moisture to create different colours #nerdalert
those minerals are how they create different coloured fireworks and flames like in the coloured flame birthday candles you can get.
There's something that I need some help with, can I talk about it with you?

my church is having a camp next week and I'm registered to go without knowing how I'm going to get there.
Due to the car accident and arthritis in my spine I find it very difficult to drive more than 30 minutes at a time.
The campsite is an hour away.
I can break it up on the way there, but the way back it's too late a finish for me to be able to break it up.
So someone will need to drive me.
This causes a number of insecurities to rise up
I'm scared no one will step up to take me, that I won't get to go because they don't take me seriously.
What do I do then?

@avant-garde hmm that is indeed a tricky one. Maybe have a think about which church members you think would be the most likely to be understanding/safe to ride with, and reach out to see if any of them would be able to offer the lift?
You could offer a simple explanation (you don't owe anyone details anyway) like, "Because of an injury/of arthritis from a car accident, I need to do trips in 30 minute stints. I would feel unsafe taking that break when driving home alone at night. Do you think you could provide a lift, and ensure we can do the trip in two 30 minute segments?"
How's that sound?

@Jynx when I'm a passenger I'm fine to go for longer because I can stretch and move about. It's the clutch that does it, the consistent needing to move my knees and feet that cause my lower back to start spasming. I can move if I need to as a passenger.
I've asked those I'm comfortable with and they all have kids so don't have space.
The family that did have space was the one that hit the bollard... but they said if they have a van by then I can go with them.
I've been told before that my injuries are an excuse and that I'm just lazy... yes by people in my church...
