My Husband has  been told by one of the  pyschologists

  1. you need to stand up for yourself
  2. we can`t help you anymore
  3. you have to help yourself

Sorry, I'm a late arrival. Smiley Happy What not to say to someone with a MI. Hmmm...let's see:

  • Once you get your degree you'll be right (yep, that one led me to waste twelve years of my life!!!!).
  • Everybody has some mental health issues (interestingly, a variant of this is a major issue in the autistic community too - people being told "everybody is a little autistic"). Smiley Mad
  • You seem pretty normal to me (again, an issue in the autistic community).
  • Grow up.
  • You need to start taking some responsibility for yourself.
  • You are so manipulative (after a bazillion years of being told this, I still don't actually know what it means to be manipulative Smiley Frustrated).
  • You need to calm down.
