Something’s not right

not coping

Re: not coping

I just really hope things get easier for you @outlander . You deserve it. I'm sorry it's been so hard for you to get what you deserve.

So does that mean you don't know when you are working in the next few days?

Re: not coping

i only know the shifts that are pre-assigned with the 2 companies im with so i have 4-5 between them each week but the agency is all on call work unless theyre given notice so maybe around christmas when most people take leave they can prebook with the company for workers but apart from that sometimes we only get 2 hours call out notice

Re: not coping

@tyme above post. sorry i forgot to tag you

Re: not coping

Oh, makes a lot of sense @outlander . Does that mean you can't actually plan too much ahead in case they call you?

Re: not coping

i can decline if im already working etc but i dont want to be the person who constantly declines. i can still take leave etc i just let them know @tyme but yeah im pretty much on call on the days that i give them that im avaliable

Re: not coping

Makes sense. So it's not all the time, it's only when you say you're available. @outlander . I guess it'a about priorities at this time.

If you're not working, do you have anything planned for the next few days?

Re: not coping

i can get call outs anytime really even when not really avaliable sometimes urgent cases come up that are only 2-3 hours till they can get a full cover etc as well so it does depend on circumstance @tyme it is the joys of agency work.

no. i dont celebrate easter. its a very trying time for me with multiple trauma dates starting yesterday through to the end of next week. 5 anniversaries between yesterday and then so i just plan to try and get through them. if i can get some work that would be good as its a good distraction when its a new place and abit out of routine. i know most people with mental health feel they should stick to a routine but for me i feel like it becomes to mundane and it starts affecting me so some spur of the moment things can be beneficial.

Re: not coping

I'll be thinking about you @outlander

I hope you get work to help distract you a bit, but if you don't I hope you can find things to get through. We're here on the forums if that helps.

I have to go now, but will see you over the weekend.

Re: not coping

thank you @tyme
if thr weathers nice i might go for a beach walk. its been over a month since ive really gone for a walk

Re: not coping
