There is a lot of difficult things going on at once. Conflict in the family is hard. I am sorry for your partner and her child and your friend.  

We can only do our best and other people need to do their bit.  Keep learning about self care.  What enables you to be your best self.  For me it is an unfolding thing.  Though it is important to be there for others, please keep some personal time for you.

hi my virtual mum, yes, i do have a lot of difficult things going oon at once, i am self harming a lot to cope with it all. 

i sometimes worry im doing more harm than good for my partner and friend. so many of us hurt, i know i can;t save anyone but i can offer to listen and support them. 

i just wish there was some help out there for them. every time they turn to professional help they get turned away.

Yes @Former-Member we got 22mm of rain, it is still very very dry out here.
