Hi @C83

I'm pretty new to this. But i suppose if it seems overwhelming, maybe you could try one appointment a week to start off with? I can only imagine having hearing difficulties could be frustrating, have you tried going to an Ear, Nose Throat specialist or getting a referral for one? or a Hearing clinic?

You might be able to get set up with a case manager of some sort through your GP, so you dont have to go to appointments alone?

Hello @C83

Take those steps for your ears. Reaching out is the first part.

@Nic1963 I am feeling a little like your last post so cant offer a great deal of support.

Just saying hello and "welcoming" you to the forum ... welcomes are tricky as no-one wants to have to deal with these things,

Re: Powerless and alone

Hi @C83 I don’t have any answers for you but can relate to certain parts of your story. Myself withdrawn from most of society, to broken and don’t want to put people thru my crap, plus (most) they don’t really care.  Yesterday it was suggested for mysel to try Skype dr appointments. Would not work for you as require actual physical treatment.

If you find any answers that work for you please pass them on..

I KNOW it is my own fault for cutting family and friends out of my life, yep..

8years with my illness and running:-/ only now giving it one last chance to have some form of a life..

I TRULY wish you luck and hope that a solution appears soon, the key (so I have been told) is look outside of the box, where we all live.

Maybe a home visit with a GP to get a assessment for disability thru c.link.. email c.link and ask for forms to be sent to you?

it is a pain and process that sucks but may open up some doors of a career, payed by c.link or service could offer a support person. Then the ndis, May be able to get you a good dr / ear Dr who knows what’s going on..?

I hope this is ok to post, new here and really don’t know what to say, where or even if I should.. good luck mate. Will be thinking of you, sorry if this is butting in. Feels a. Bit. Weird commenting on stuff months ago?

Auto correct, grr

Two words wrong and change tone, with the c.link stuff ment to say Carer not Career, although app thru ndis they do that?

And weeks not months, lol.. sorry.

Re: Powerless and alone
