Aww beautiful @creative_writer I love poetry! Been a while since I wrote any myself, I am similar to you in that it is an incredible way to express deep or strong emotions. I totally agree with you about religion and spirituality. We're inherently meaning-making creatures and finding hope in the darkness is one of our most powerful attributes. You might find Tarot to be helpful too, if it was ever something you were interested in. The practice is called cartomancy, and if the traditional Tarot deck doesn't appeal to you there's all sorts of different types of cartomancy decks out there to explore.

@Birdofparadise8 sounds like you're very taken with this book! Glad to see you so excited 😊
Oh that's annoying, I resonate with that a lot. Routine and structure really helps, and getting unexpected visitors can really throw you hey. Hopefully you can settle into the rest of your day okay 😉
@Shaz51 omg yummmm! I haven't had curried snags in ages! Best ones I ever had was in Germany! They know how to do sausages haha. I'm just having more leftover risotto tonight, probably got another couple days of it left.
Fingers crossed your appt goes well! And that's a big change for your mum, how's she handling it? Do you have to do more to support her now?

@Shaz51 It’s a long story. Let’s just say thought there was a plan and I was very happy, best nights sleep in years.
Did all my prep this morning, waited for a message. No message arrived.
Now I got tinnitus.
One person can make a difference.

@Shaz51 it can be really hard to adjust to things like that, my dad is similar. He probably should be using a walker, but really doesn't want to. He's not ready to accept how things are changing for him. It's really hard. You're top notch in all the support you give hun, your mum is lucky to have you.
Oh nice! Germany is STUNNING. So many castles, glorious churches, I even went on a tour to see some of the historic treasures left by the medieval aristocracy. There was a whole room full of ivory sculptures. Made me so sad. Plus, the forests are sooo lush, so different to our bushlands - all pine trees and moss haha. I even saw a red squirrel! They have tufty ears, so cute:
If you ever get a chance to go, I highly endorse it 😁
