Re: Not Coping

Two years later, stassie won a gold medal in singles. She isn't a duo anymore, and Nathan won something as well. She walked into her therapy session and said she was pregnant because she would take the pill but vomit it back up from the noise from her anxiety about competitions and they are on holiday, and they get married. It made me get teary hahaha @Jynx

Re: Not Coping

@ENKELI, thank you , I think it’s mostly healed now, it just takes a while. Do you like skincare? I love skincare, it feels so soothing 💖

@Shaz51, I’m sure it’s not as bad as you say. I’ve been meaning to write a fictional piece but haven’t gotten around to it.

@Jynx, I’ve written a lot of poems when experiencing strong emotions. Some of them I thought were masterpieces, but I think I was a little out of my mind and manic 😆. I do have tons of depressing poetry too. I don’t usually show them to others.

@Glisten, I hope your afternoon improves. Sending you lots of love 💖🫂

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer if you ever feel brave enough to share here, I'd be very happy to read em! And manic or not, good poetry is good poetry! I'll see if I can rustle up some of my old stuff as well. Maybe we could make a poetry thread 😊

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 a wild ride haha. Sometimes it's awesome to be able to connect so deeply to fiction that it moves us to tears! I cry watching movies like alllll the time lol

Re: Not Coping

@Jynx lol, I cry in movies too.

I was watching Steel Magnolias once and there was someone at the door, salesman or whatever. I refused to answer because I'd been bawling my eyes out. No matter how many times I've seen that movie I still cry.

Certain books make me cry too.

Sounds like you're using your time wisely @Birdofparadise8 reading some naughty novels. Lol, good on you!

Re: Not Coping

@Jynx, I don’t know, I’m shy 🙈. I actually do need to go through my work one day, I have lots of it, some of it unfinished.

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer I love skincare too! I use a combination of Natio and Nutrimetics. I've tried various brands and found these two the best for my skin. And Natio is reasonably priced which helps when you're on a budget. At my last job a couple of the guys I worked with thought my workmate and I were 20 years younger than we were and I put it down to a regular skincare regime.

What do you use?

Re: Not Coping

@ENKELI, I haven’t tried many Natio products. I’ve used their sunscreen which doesn’t react with sensitive skins. I use cruelty free brands like RAWW, Skinstitut, antipodes to name a few (I used quite a few brands). I’ve been trying to cut out non cruelty free brands, and cruelty free brands owned by non-cruelty free companies. I don’t think animal testing is necessary for cosmetics, the furry ones are too precious 💖

Re: Not Coping

That's okay @creative_writer only share if you feel comfortable! Maybe if others posted first it could help you feel a bit braver to post? I will try to find some of mine tonight and maybe make a poetry thread tomorrow, if I remember 😊

@ENKELI haha would have given the salesperson a bit of pause that's for sure. I've never seen Steel Magnolias, maybe next time I'm in need of a good cry I'll watch it!

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer I agree, I refuse to use anything that is not cruelty free. Natio have gained accreditation with Choose Cruelty Free and I also like that it is an Australian brand and made in Australia, and they have the Canstar Blue award for being the #1 cosmetics brand in Aus. Lol you'd think I sold the stuff! I like to research what I put on my face 🙂
Nutrimetics is another Australian company that has never tested on animals. I have been a consultant for many years, their products have always been high quality too.

I've heard of Antipodes but never tried it. As long as you find a product that agrees with you and is cruelty free that is most important.
