That's so fine! @Captain24
I am sure she really appreciated the acknowledgment and was also very proud of you. 🫶
100%. I am so glad your mum showed up for you when you needed it most.
All in all it sounds like a very successful 24 hours!
The pain and blood loss sound quite uncomfortable... what are you doing to create comfort for yourself today?
Being mentally and physically drained makes so much sense... your self-care plan sounds really fun! What have you been working on today? 🤩

I got a really good response from her. @AuntGlow. I have to write a list of what I did and what helped with being open about it. Homework 🤔
Mum was good today too. She rang me and did some shopping for me. They came and checked on me.
I still have both today too. I was hoping it would all ease but I guess not. He did warn me about the blood loss as it could be up to 3 months! The pain though I don’t really know.
I had a bit of a sleep as I’m still so tired. I have sat on the lounge a bit of the day and I’ve almost completed a Lego kit.
How are you going? How did you go on that assignment that you adhd’d and left it to the last minute? 😜

I just got off the webinar @tyme.
It was quite interesting. Most of it I already knew but I learnt about different blocks of sleep. That it’s ok to sleep in two different blocks if you need too.

Coolies @Captain24 ! Glad you were able to join. I always find it's good to have a refresher... and maybe oneday, we'll both hear some new development that we've never known about!
How are you feeling? Is the pain okayish?

Hey @Captain24!
Did you end up making it to the webinar just now? 💛
I like this homework, it sounds like very helpful self-reflection, actually!
Awww mum!!
Gah, that would be overwhelming... will mum be able to help care for you throughout the next few months?
ooh, which Lego??
I am doing okay! I have found myself a little overstimulated with life this week, but I have noticed that having a cry and letting myself be messy helps me to regulate and find flow again.
hahaha I got 78%! Not so bad. Working on my next essay as we speak!

With doing shift work it’s always interesting to see about sleep. Different ideas, different ways, different learnings. I do take it onboard and see what I can relate to with my sleep on and off shift. @tyme
Im a little miserable. The pain is still intense and there is a lot of blood loss. If it doesn’t improve by Friday I will go up and see the Gyno at the medical centre. He is in town on Friday and said to tell them I need to see him and he will fit me in. Hopefully I won’t need to. I do have to call and make a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks. He said to do it Telehealth so that’ll save me a two hour drive for a 15 minute appointment!
How are you doing?

Hey @AuntGlow
Yes I did make it. I even asked a question which is the first time I have done that!
Mum will give up in about a week or so. She will check on me when i go back to work as to how I’m feeling but that’ll be about it.
Im sorry you have felt that way but glad you have found a way through.
Well done on your essay, you were worried about it! When is this one due?

From what I know, third day after operations are the most painful... so hang in there! Can you use a heat pack or will that increase the bleeding? Awww, I feel for you... I hate pain. @Captain24
As for sleep, did you hear recently that they wanted to take melatonin off the shelves because there wasn't enough research about long term effects? This is exactly what I mean. The research is always changing.
Is Jett and Pix at home with you? Or with your mum?

Thanks for the positive vibes! 😜 @tyme. Im hoping day 3 isn’t worse! I’ve been taking OTC pain relief but it’s not doing much. I did think of a heat pack but was wondering the same thing. Apparently this blood loss can go on for three months!
I didn’t know that. I know that people were giving it to babies and children and that was a concern. Melatonin did nothing for me. Yes things are always changing. I sleep reasonably well most of the time so I am pretty lucky. I do have a sleep routing for nightshifts to which is normally ok. Both can have their ups and downs though. So it’s always good to have more things up your sleeve for if anything changes. She talked about CBT as well. My psych has said a few things on that with sleep when I was coming off the munchie meds.
I have them both here. I struggle to pick Pix up as it hurts but that’s the only heavy lifting I do. She is 6.5kg so it’s not really that heavy.

Yikes! Blood loss for three months - no way! That's hectic.
Did they give a recovery period time frame? @Captain24
BTW, I bought my niece a reborn doll. She's been wanting on for a long time. I gave it to her tonight. I bought my nephew 2 lego sets - police and fire department lego.
And the little one? I didn't get her anything because there's nothing she really 'loves'. She's here there and everywhere. DId you know she came to my place yesterday and stuck an "Ar-briginal" flag she drew on my door? When she did it, I was thinking "I need to tell Captain!".
She's so funny when she says "Ar-bringal"
