Re: One Day at a time here

You're so very vulnerable at that stage of life. I knew a girl very handicapped... her mum said she hadn't taken thalidomide though.. The girl lived bravely and well and achieved heaps.

Glad there are vaccines for most things now.

Re: One Day at a time here

Can not believed what happened

Got a message from my kidney buddy that she is going to ring me for a chat

I reply her asking if we can communicate by email messages,  why did I do that for

Feeling bad now , waiting for her email message instead of talking to her on the phone

🫂 Hugs @Shaz51

It's OK to start slowly while you build confidence and trust. And you're not locked in, I'm sure you can change your mind.

It's great you've made contact.

Re: One Day at a time here

Thanks @Dimity yes I can change my mind , she gave me her phone number too for later

The office gave the kidney buddy the wrong email address

So she is resending the email message to me now

How are you going today xx

Re: One Day at a time here

@Shaz51 So know what you mean - what did i do that for? How many times have i wailed those regrets?

Yet look my friend!  Allowing yourself to feel worry, regret, up set with self, even dislike or anger that you made a mistake, makes feeling bad very much more loaded than the original mistake warrants and therefore makes the situation even worse.

For me suffering a depressive illness i found that if i feel really bad about my behaviours, i'm bound to take in lots of negative feelings, and measures, towards myself, and not only go much lower, but literally prime bad life to strike me again and again in a similar manner in the future. Yet that if i forgive myself my mistake, even if i struggledoing that, then rather than my mistake bringing me more bad live, the forgiveness and grace i apply to myself making a mistake or having done a wrong has the bad taken away and a right path chosen.

@Dimity @Chasingsunsets @tyme @AuntGlow @Appleblossom @ENKELI @heartathome @Realness

i found that forgiving and caring for myself constantly helps enormously to overcome acting out of the negativity of the depression we so often have to suffer from.🤗

i hope that you will accept lots of goodwill and good vibes from my way for i'm sending them your way.

(And i hope you have had a nice chat with your friend.😀)

@DownMoreThanUp , @Dimity

just replied to the kidney buddy email message 😁

Re: One Day at a time here

Hey @Shaz51 It sounds completely reasonable that you suggested an email to start with. Even if after thinking about it you might have actually preferred a call. As @Dimity said it's great that you're getting in contact and there's always the option to move things to a phone call when things are feeling more comfortable
