Life and trauma

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 things just went from bad to worse really fast.

Can imagine the kidney stone was definitely painful. I'm glad that guy was ok and it wasn't anything serious but yes it's better to be safe than sorry in those situations.

I'm sorry to hear about the guy in your support group but I'm glad he is doing better now. I still don't have full feeling in my fingers and toes and I can't smile properly, my face just trembles on the left side when I try. I just don't know what comes next now.

They're going to investigate what caused it and they're going to help you.

You will likely be in there a while.

They may ask if there's anyone who can bring you some of your belongings, is that something you can think about?

That's why it's so important that you called for an ambulance.  These things can feel like you can deal with them, but if it's serious it can escalate very quickly, so it's great that you called them when you did.  It may even help now with some of those other issues.  So try to stay calm.  You're in good hands and just focus on resting up and recovering.  I obviously can't visit you, but I'll check in through the day to say hi and see how you're doing.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 thanks. Resting is impossible but I also don't have much strength to do anything else.

Ok

Its been a huge shock to your system so you will feel like you've been through the wars.  So just take it easy and work on recovering.

Just give it some time, its going to be hardest right now.  Give them some time and see what they say.  It may end up helping with a few of the current issues as well.  So dont give up just yet.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i didn't need anything else on top of what was already going on. I've asked to go home cos I don't want to deal with this. It's too much for me to process.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member

Its up to you of course, but you're where you need to be right now.  Going home wont make things any better.  I know it's quieter and more comfortable, but try to give them a chance to sort out what is going on.  You don't have to process anything at the moment, just let them look after you.
