I can only pop in and out, but if you want to talk I'll respond as soon as I can

Re: Life and trauma

@avant-garde thanks. I don't even know how to say what's going on. I'm struggling to process it all if that's even possible.

Can you break it into smaller instances? To make it a bit more manageable?

Your mind will find a way to process it, it survived it so it will just take a little time

Sorry it was such a tough night.  Have those physical symptoms subsided?  It is very scary and disconcerting when things happen to us that seem weird and we don't know what is going on

Did you speak to anyone about it yet?

Oh hun, that just be so scary! Are you still in hospital?

I'm proud of you for calling the ambulance, I know that it's difficult for you, but well done!

Have you asked them to give you someone to talk to? They often have social workers around for this kind of experience...

I'm no doctor, but some if the symptoms you talked about sounded a bit stroke like to me.  It's why it's always so important to call someone if you're born sure what is going on.

I remember when I was in the ED with severe pain (turned out to be a kidney stone) there was a younger guy in the bed next to me complaining of chest pains.  The doctor was in the middle of telling him it was probably due to eating the pizza he had to fast.  This guy felt embarrassed but the Dr assured him he did the right thing and not to take chances with symptoms like that

A guy in my support group actually had a small stroke on new years, out of nowhere.  It was minor but had some similar symptoms.  Fortunately he recovered very quickly as is doing really well now.  So hopefully it's the same with you   Plus it might explain some of those heart issues you've been having.

Keep us updated, and hopefully you're doing okay.
