Life and trauma

Re: Life and trauma

@holdinghope5

My schedule keeps me sane. Today is washing day. My washing routine makes @Former-Member exhausted even thinking about it. But I get coffee from my favourite barista and talk way too much to the op shop staff, but I like them.

Re: Life and trauma

Scripts have been ordered, washing ready to go, just shoes and hair

Re: Life and trauma

@avant-garde not the dreaded washing day, wonder if there's any laundromat drama today 😂.

I'm just about to have a look in a second hand shop to see if I can find anything interesting.

No drama as of yet, washing is in and now for the coffee

Re: Life and trauma

@avant-garde good. I need my iced coffee but I can't have one just yet.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member  Oww... i love a good browse through an op shop.  I used to love doing it when i was a kid.  Second hand book shops as well.

@avant-garde  I'm sorry you had such a difficult flashback.  Sometimes the smaalest things can trigger the biggest reactions.  It's good that you have things to keep you busy today, and hopefully it keeps your mind on other things.

I'm sure the people in the op shop love chatting to you as well.  Many, many years ago I used to work in Myer.  It was a smaller surburban one and was pretty quiet apart from Thursday nights, which was the only late night shopping night back then.

We had regular customers that came in for a chat and we were always happy to see them, to break the monotonomy if nothing else.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i found a few things for myself. I found a puzzle and a little brain game thing.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 @Former-Member

I forgot that I was up to my free coffee

The op shop had 50% off EVERYTHING

I wished I had my $10 off card that I used last week

Still kept in budget

Just means I got some nicer things than usual

Also went to discount grocery after as I had time

I got free donuts

And potato salad to go with rice paper rolls for dinner

Also got a pretty kitty clock and a few necklaces

Re: Life and trauma

@avant-garde woohoo for free coffee.

Bonus about the op shop sale and that you still kept within your budget.

Yummy donuts and being free makes them taste even better. Potato salad with rice paper rolls sounds delicious.

Sounds like you got some nice things and I'm glad you treated yourself 😊

Re: Life and trauma

@avant-garde

It sounds like you had quite the day!  People throwing discounts as you! 😁

I'm curious about the kitty clock of course.
