Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member   It truely baffles me that no has done this already.  I see zero possible issues with bouncing uncontrollably around a room with the possibility of bei g randomly flung out a window.  Kids would love it!  McDonals could use it as their playroom.  Fun for the kids, everyone else gets to watch the action.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 my body is really giving me a hard time for not getting enough sleep and being too stressed. But I actually managed 9 hours last night, not that I feel like i got that much. Just to keep things interesting right 🤣

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member  Well, you wouldn't want life to be boring and uneventful would you?  Yeah, i wouldnt mind that for a little while either 🤣

9 hours is great.  But I think onw good night of sleep isnt enough to make up for a long period of poor sleep nights.  If you can keep getting nights like last night then im sure it will have yiu feeling better before too long... you just have to start stringing some of those nights together.  And hopefully no seizures in the meantime.

You're going to need to be well rested if you want to enjoy my trampoline room once I find my hammer and get it built.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i mean just a little period of time with no drama would be nice, even just a smidgen 🤣

And yes you're very right, one good night's sleep certainly doesn't make up for all the sleep I've been lacking lately. I need to sleep now but it's just not happening tonight.

I know where my hammer is!

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member   One hammer should do the trick.  I cant see the job needing anything more.

Did you do anything different last night to actually get some sleep?  Even something really small.  Who knows what the secret might be at this stage.

Have you heard anything about that referral that was made?  I know when ive gotten them it seems to take a while before i hear from them, depending on the priority.  My referral to the oncologist last year was a highest priority one...it was still 10 weeks until i saw him.  You gotta love the public health system!

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 well we have one hammer then!

Honestly i think it was just complete exhaustion, I couldn't keep my eyes open.

No i haven't heard back from anyone. It's quite frustrating that even when things are marked as urgent that it's still such a long wait. Even when my doctor did the one for my heart as urgent it was still a few months that I had to wait, and he had to do several referrals before they even acknowledged that they had received one.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member   Yeah,  sadly the system is so overstretched and underfunded that these referrals can take far longer than they should.  A gastroenterologist takes years!  Its so easy for many people to fall through the cracks.

Im surprised with any heart issues referred taking so long though.  They usually dont mess around with that!  Sometimes it does feel like we're just put in the too hard basket.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 the system is definitely overstretched.

I honestly have my doubts that the hospital even did any referrals both for my heart or for the mental health side of things.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member   I think if they said they sent them  then they probably did.  If for no other reason than to hand you off to someone else.
