I haven't looked for dragons yet @outlander, but I have imagined what they might look like. Haha re the JoJo bow. Fuzzball hedgehog found herself wearing a JoJo bow thanks to one of mine only yesterday!
The next blanket is a garden themed one with lots of different flowers in it. It has a mandala as the centre. It's a beautiful pattern that is similar in style to the other two I've made. I had trouble deciding between whether to make it or the ones I did. I'm so looking forward to getting started on it as I feel so much better with a big one to focus on.
Better head off for a while and sort some dinner out. You make me smile, thank you 😊

@outlander Depending on what it is, I might get 2 of the same, like a nice soap, so I can use one and 'keep' the other one in case I can't get anymore. I understand your Grandma. perhaps not her precise why's, but the concept.
@CheerBear I hope your order arrives on Monday! Thinking of you.
All too often I wish there was a way to send something to someone here, but of course ...
Oh glad the 2 strand thing was inspirational.
When I was cleaning up my stash of Knitting Cotton I wound so many of the balls into 3 and 4 strand balls to make wash up cloths out of. Oh my they were so pretty I wanted to get more but have not yet been able to find what I want.
So much for destashing!
Must away to check the mail box before nightfall.
OOh, I did get a bit of green crochet done too, it's going to be very pretty!
I have not yet had enough of what it takes to get photos of my new toys and the progression of anything, it will come though.
Crafting goodness to all who pass by.

Operation just-stay-alive is in full swing around here and I'm thinking that starting on my baby dragon will be a key part of that operation this weekend. Thank you so so so much for teaching me the wonders of crocheting @Former-Member and @CheerBear.
While baby dragoning, I want to work on how to change colours and how to sew the bits together properly.

id love to see what you come up with @CheerBear oh dear poor little hedgehog! i hope your house isnt full of them. my sister has around 10 atm i really hope they dont bring out anymore!
good to see you smiling
my nan was really sick for a long time @Former-Member so she didnt get out much when she did though she would collect things that she liked or if it was a brithday present she would just keep a bit of the wrapping paper that she liked. my nan was a sewer but didnt do alot of them but admired quite alot. she use to do family clothing alterations for a little bit. i can sew but dont enjoy it like she did
@Phoenix_Risingyour doing really well with your projects too! i find them a rather cute collection and cant wait to see what else you make as well

Wonderful to hear things are going forward for you @Phoenix_Rising. Baby Dragon sounds like an eminently suitable next project! gosh you must be excited. You have the yarn from your Spotlight adventure if I remember correctly. Have you started yet?
Eh, sorry, so many questions, so much to know, so much to get excited about!
There's a really good video I'll search out about changing colours when crocheting, @CheerBear will probably know straight away though, and that's fine too. Making wee crocheted creatures are her super power!
The sewing part is one of the bits I truly loathe, which is why I make my things joined - it takes some wangling sometimes, but I manage. Thus, wee crocheted creatures are not on my to do list anymore because I cannot manage to wangle them into one without the stitching.
@CheerBear @outlander had to look up what a JoJo Bow is - they are ... interesting.
Anytime you want to ask about sewing for any reason Outlander, please do. I think we need to have a reason to immerse ourselves in a craft, to truly love it. maybe when you have your own space that you know will be untouched by others you will find new reasons to maybe enjoy sewing.

Hi @Former-Member,
Yep I have the yarn for my baby dragon. I was just looking at the pattern though and it says I need to use a smaller hook than I have been using. That means I should really use a finer yarn doesn't it? Is it a problem if I use the same sort of yarn and hook I used for Gerald? It just means my baby dragon will be a bit bigger than it should be doesn't it?

@CheerBear hmmmm, that's the video I followed. I was crocheting in the round, right? When I change colour, it shows up wonky...but I don't see how to fix it because the first stitch in a round is slightly higher than the previous stitch, isn't it (if that makes sense). Here's a close up of Gerald's leg.
