~ The Toolshed ~

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Thanks @Dreamy made it through the last working day of the week, now a weekend of rest and recovery.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Well done @MissinTooth. Have you got any plans for the weekend?

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Dreamy my niece has her two year old birthday party tomorrow afternoon. Other than that...not really. What about you?

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@MissinTooth i hope she has a good time 😊

I not nothing at all.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Glad you have a weekend to recover @MissinTooth

Will going to your niece's birthday party be something to look forward to?

I am doing a fund raiser walk for breast and ovarian cancer on Mother's Day morning - hopefully it will also help me to feel not so worthless. I'm in a bit of a slump at the moment

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Till23 i hope it's something to look forward to. I need a bit of something to lift me this week. I hear you, I'm feeling the same...I've just crashed a bit.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Do you get on with niece's family @MissinTooth or could there be some friction?

I'm going a bit out of my comfort zone as I'm an ambassador for the event, so it will be more than just the walk/run for me. Maybe that will stir me out of my slump

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Till23 we get along okay. There's...tension with my Mum and Dad. They don't approve of my brother's wife, or her parenting style...and that can cause issues. I'm just...not feeling very peopley in myself. I don't have a lot of words at the moment.

Wow. Being an ambassador sounds like a worthy cause. Let me know how you go.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

I am not really a peopley person @MissinTooth I'm always worried I'll do or say something wrong.

I know that humans need other people and I do too, but at same time I prefer to be by myself most of the time, because I don't have to wear a mask

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Till23 it used to be easier to say and to believe that I didn't need anyone, I could do it all on my own. But...it's not true. I do need people.

I'm the same. At the moment, pretending that everything's hunky dory drains all of energy and leaves me feeling exhausted and...and at odds with myself.
