Re: Support for L-B

@L-B

I have been struggling a lot with anxiety too. Every term we have role plays at tafe and every term I try to run away from them. So far each of the 3 terms I have had to push through the desire to quit tafe. It’s exhausting! Hopefully I will finish. I have less than 4 months to go. Tafe finishes on the 5th December

Re: Support for L-B

Hi @Oaktree , sounds like a struggle. I'm so proud of your determination and persistence with role plays at TAFE. I believe that you'll get through it. Roll on December and wishing you happy moments while you navigate through it.

Re: Support for L-B

I think role plays are a pet hate for most people. I've never hear someone say that they love role plays lol @Oaktree .

That speaking, it sounds like you are doing super well 🙂

Hey @L-B , how are you?

Re: Support for L-B

I am struggling @tyme . There are interactions with some people at work that are very pleasant and I glimpse happiness and I savour these moments but mostly feel heavy hearted. It's embarrassing to disclose this.

Re: Support for L-B

Awww hun. That sounds so icky @L-B , especially if you feel it to be even 'embarrassing' to talk about.

At the same time, I want to acknowledge that there have been some glimpses of happiness too 🙂 Perhaps it's about training our minds to hold onto this happiness rather than focus on the negative?

Mind you, our brains are geared towards the negative, so whatever is going on in your brain is perfectly normal.

I just really hope you find a way to work through it.

Re: Support for L-B

@tyme I find the best way through it is straight through it

Re: Support for L-B

And I feel that that has learning in itself @L-B . Moving TOWARDS it. It's taken a long time for me to be able to do it, but I have and I've grown so much because of it.

Re: Support for L-B

@tyme I believe that is true courage.

Re: Support for L-B

@L-B , but a person has to be ready to do it.

Re: Support for L-B

@tyme .I think that leads to growth as you say whether you call it moving towards it or confronting it.
