Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

Hey @utopia

How has your day been? You looking forward to your walk tomorrow? I went for another walk this morning – I desperately needed it after the amount of food I ate last night grrrr!

I went shopping for mum today – went to 3 different shopping centres to get her stuff. Then went to visit mum but she wasn’t having a good day and told me go to. She asked me what I was doing there and basically said that if I wasn’t bringing her home I could leave. She wouldn’t even let me give her a hug. I went and chatted with the nurses. I then decided to leave. When she is like that, and wants to go home, me being there aggravates the situation. hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for her. I seem to be handling the things she says a bit better. @outlander

How did your house cleaning go today?

 xxx

aww sorry about your day, its really hard when they get like that. im hoping youve been doing some nice things for yourself to help you cope with everything as well.

i remember you said walking helps you to keep balanced too so maybe its a good idea to even go for a short walk each day..

i hope tomorrow is a better day for you both.

@utopia

hey luv, just thought id give you a quick update on mum. she was pleased to see me today which was a nice change to yesterday! i ended up staying there for 3 hours, helping mum change, etc. she was very tired this morning poor luv. i stayed while they had lunch too - they all sat outside for lunch which was lovely, and they gave me a sandwich too 🙂 seriously, i could have stayed there all arvo. had some afternoon tea, dinner and supper! instead i had to come home to an empty house with dirty dishes and washing to do *sigh* hehe

oh, and mum has given me another freaking list! i should tell her the shops have run out of EVERYTHING she wants lol

i wanted to respond to your message on your thread last night but my best friend is going through a rough time atm and she came around for a few hours. i didnt get into bed until midnight. i sleepy now. want to go walkies but cant be bothered grrrrrr

i hope you had a good sleep this arvo. you would have been knackered after the night you had!!!!

xx

@Bella1978 sooo glad that your mum  was pleased to see me today  my friend xxxxxx

your mum still still showing her individual my sister as my mum gives me her list every week too

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

@Bella1978 glad your mum was feeling better today.
Does she need all these items she sends you to buy? Are they reasonable requests?
God you must be exhausted tonight. But sometimes our besties really need us. So good of you to listen. But sounds to me like you two need a day or night off. Maybe to go to a movie or out to lunch. Just to have a fun time.
Isn't it awful when you know you have to go home to housework.
I just walked into the kitchen. OMG!!! Every bowl and spoon etc stacked everywhere. That's my son. Went into his room. 3 bowls. 4 cups/glasses. And he's at work so I can't even tell him off until he gets home.
I hope you manage an early night and then get a deep sleep.
