Re: HOME

So I see my gp today.  Need a WorkCover certificate filled in.  While there,  I'm  wiping the sweat off of my brow.  Thinking another hot flush.  No,  says my gp.  She thinks my 'hot flushes'as I've called them,  is really a reaction brought on by Anxiety.  I thought about all the places I get these 'hot flushes'& almost all of them are when I'm out and about.  At the shops,  chemist,  library,  doctors.  I think my gp could be right.  I'm sweating due to anxiety.  But I don't feel anxious.  She said that's probably because I'm medicated.  Go figure.

Am I unusual in this?

Re: HOME

No @utopia .... that is one of the symptoms I have been experiencing since the beginning of the year ..... and I stop and take deep, slow breaths when it happens now ..... usually with some sort of trigger in the previous week somewhere, rather than at the time, so it was hard to pinpoint at first.   It is done sort of stored anxiety in my case, doing a break-out a little later when the coast is clear(er) .... go figure ..... ?!  The body is an amazing thing.

Re: HOME

@Faith-and-Hope. Yes I can't pinpoint it either,  at the moment,  as I'm not aware I'm feeling anxious . Maybe I'm just numb to certain feelings.

I'll have to keep an eye on what happens during the week and then see when the sweats start.

The body is an amazing thing. @utopia, @Faith-and-Hope

I have one doctor who keeps asking and thinking I have anxiety

but the specialist s and theothr doctors don`t think I have

Re: HOME

I am not conscious of being anxious @utopia @Shaz51 .... it’s a psychosomatic response where the stress, distress, anxiety channel through my physical body instead of my conscious feelings.

That makes sense  @Faith-and-Hope

Re: HOME

Morning @utopia ,,,,

I am more at peace with it now that I have an explanation for what it is, and when I start experiencing these symptoms, I try to slow down, and step up my self-care.  It’s not selfish, it’s necessary ..... medical advice.

Hi @utopia How is your evening going? Did you see your case worker today? What was the outcome of that?
