I am sorry to hear things are still very difficult, but go gently with yourself.  You are used to toughing things out.  

People do come through separation and children can still thrive.  Any difficulties dont go away simply by staying together in misery.

To be honest, it took a while before I settled after my separation after 16 years marriage, but everybody knew it was best that we did part.  

I have managed mainly by limiting the stress I put on myself.

Keep contact with your daughter even if your heart and feelings are all over the shop.  In time you may be able to reflect and see patterns in the family and behaviours that give you clarity about your situation.

In my case, I think we tried to do what was not humanly possible and so that helps me forgive myself and my ex. 

You care and so you feel, like the general who cares about the men he sends into battle.  It is harder, but a better way to be.

I respect the father/daughter relationship. 

Often with therapy, women took to it quicker than men, but I believe in the essential processes across the sexes.

Glad some of the clouds are clearing. ..
