Looking after ourselves

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I worry that I can't do it all, that it's too big and too much, that it's beyond me and that I'm not enough.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

My brother (who is blind) caught himself on fire, whilst cooking.

He is in the intensive care unit of the burns unit, at a major hospital.

He is sedated & unconscious (apparently).

He has already had a skin graft operation on his neck, & will have several more.

Mum just phoned to tell me.

I think it happened in the early hours of this morning.

I'm in shock.

Please pray for him, if you believe in prayer.

Oh @Adge how awful for you and your brother. I'm so sorry that's happened to him. I'll keep him in my thoughts for swift healing and recovery. Hugs and hugs ❤️ 💜 💙 💜

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

oh gosh @Adge wishing him a speedy recovery

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Thanks so much @Sans911

Thanks heaps @outlander

It's so much harder for me - that my other brothers refused to talk about it today (when I phoned).

They abruptly changed the subject - just as they did after Dad died. When I needed to talk about Dad.

I am the oldest of 5 boys.

So this forum has been my only means of expression & support about my brother.

They are all on the east coast.

I am in WA.

For crying out loud... I'm sick and tired of dealing with the way I'm physically feeling ... can't even get a decents nights sleep ... can even get through one day without feeling really unwell, sick and like something is really wrong ... fricken over it!!! Big time!!!

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Sorry for the slow response @Adge I'm so sorry to hear news of your brother. I will keep him, and you, in my thoughts.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Thanks @frog Much appreciated.

It's been a tough weekend, for other reasons as well.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Im really dissapointed in my mother. The more i think about it the more dissapointed and upset i become. Its out of my hands but i cant really stop thinking about it. Its no use talking to her about it, it wont change or help anything, if anything theres a chance itll make things even more strained between us.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I'm totally overwhelmed, like in a zombie-state - worse today.

Just trying to keep my head up, amidst waves of despair.

Thanks for your kind thoughts & well-wishes.

It's getting harder (for some reason).
